One killed in Afghan suicide bombing

One person was killed and six others were injured on Thursday when a suicide bomber targeted a security checkpoint in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, a local official said.

"A terrorist detonated his explosive device next to a security checkpoint in Ghani Khil district, killing himself and another on spot," the official told Xinhua news agency.
