One more swine flu death was reported in West Bengal since Sunday, taking the state toll to 14, a health official said on Monday.
As many as 14 fresh cases were recorded since Saturday.
Most of the cases were reported from Barasat in North 24 Parganas district and Kolkata while some were reported from Howrah and Hooghly districts.
"On Sunday one more death was reported. The toll for the state is 14 and the total number of cases now is 213," principal secretary for health and family welfare Malay Kumar De told IANS.
De said the response of the four private hospitals, which were served showcause notices for discharging patients diagnosed with swine flu, were unsatisfactory.
"The hospitals have replied and their replies were unsatisfactory. So investigation is going on," he said.
