One tourist was killed and three others injured in a rafting accident in Pahalgam tourist resort in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district Thursday, police said.
Police said a rafting boat carrying tourists in Lidder mountain stream in Pahalgam capsized, leading to the death of a woman tourist on the spot and leaving three other tourists injured.
"The injured tourists have been shifted to hospital for treatment. The body of the woman tourist who died in this accident has been fished out from Lidder stream," a senior police officer said.
Rafting in the rapids of the Lidder mountain stream is an adventure sport many tourists and locals enjoy while holidaying in Pahalgam.
