Oscar Fernandes gets labour ministry charge

Road Transport and Highways Minister Oscar Fernandes will additionally hold charge of the ministry of labour and employment, following the death of Labour Minister Sis Ram Ola, Rashtrapati Bhavan said Sunday.

"The president as advised by the prime minister, has directed that Oscar Fernandes, minister of road transport and highways, shall be given additional charge of the work of the ministry of labour and employment," a statement said.

Ola, 86, died at a Gurgaon hospital due to heart failure.
