Renowned cardiologist B.K. Goyal and Honorary Dean of the Bombay Hospital passed away here at the Breach Candy Hospital on Tuesday, a family member said. He was 82.
He is survived by his son Rahul Goyal, and three daughters -- Sandhya Mittersain, Alka Jhunjhunwala and Varsha Sethi.
A former cardiologist to top Indian dignitaries and celebrities, he was a former Sheriff of Mumbai and was awarded the Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India.
