Pained at loss of soldiers' lives: Manohar Parrikar

I salute them for their courage and bravery, says Parrikar

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday said he was pained at the death of Indian security personnel while defending their country.

"For every jawan who has lost his life, I always feel the pain; so, to that extent, I salute them for their courage, bravery...," Parrikar said when asked about the killing of soldiers along the Line of Control in recent times.

Parrikar, visiting Goa to inaugurate a multi-level parking complex in state capital Panaji, said the army headquarters regularly briefs him on the issue.
