A Pakistani man is facing trial for hacking into social media accounts of lady doctors and using the content to blackmail them, a newspaper reported on Monday.
The Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) has detected over 2,000 "objectionable" pictures and videos from the laptop of the main accused, the Dawn reported.
It has submitted its findings to the Anti-Terrorism Court after a detailed forensic analysis of the laptop.
Accused Abdul Wahab from Layyah district is facing trial under the Anti-Terrorism Act for blackmailing and harassing lady doctors, the daily said.
He was arrested in April 2015 after it became known that nearly 200 women, including lady doctors and nurses of some government hospitals of Lahore, had been harassed or blackmailed.
The accused reportedly trapped lady doctors by hacking into their mobile phones, WhatsApp chats, Viber contacts and Facebook accounts.
After editing their conversation and pictures, he would call them to a restaurant to blackmail them, the report said.
"He allegedly destroyed (the) future of several lady doctors by providing their in-laws and other family members 'objectionable video clips and photos'," the Dawn said.
The authorities identified 428,322 graphics and pictures from the laptop. Many photos were edited or tampered with.
