Actors Palak Lalwani and Poonam Bajwa have been signed on opposite actor-composer G.V. Prakash Kumar in upcoming Tamil action comedy "Kuppathu Raja", a source said.
"Palak and Poonam have been finalised as the lead heroines. While Palak plays the leading lady, Poonam will be seen as the second lead. The regular shooting has already commenced," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
The film, which is being directed by Baba Bhaskar, marks Palak's Tamil debut.
Actor-filmmaker Parthiepan too plays a pivotal role.
The shoot is currently underway in the city.
"They have erected a huge slum set. The entire first schedule will be shot in this set. Palak and Poonam will join the unit soon," the source said.
