A 15-year-old Palestinian boy was shot dead on Wednesday during clashes with Israeli soldiers north of Hebron in the West Bank, medics said.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said Omer Madi, 15, from al-Aroub refugee camp was shot dead by Israeli troops' gunfire in the camp, Xinhua reported.
Eyewitnesses said Madi was critically injured in Israeli gunfire but died shortly after he was brought to a hospital in West Bank.
The witnesses said clashes broke out on Wednesday between dozens of Palestinian stone throwers and Israeli soldiers outside the refugee camp, after an Israeli army force tried to storm the camp for arrests.
The health ministry statement said several Palestinians were injured by rubber bullets and tear gas, during the clashes. There has been no immediate Israeli army comment to the incident.
Tension of violence between Israel and the Palestinians has been going on since early October in the West Bank, Jerusalem and Gaza, which had so far left 171 Palestinians and 30 Israelis killed.
