Brazilian Serie A champions Palmeiras have made an offer to sign former Brazil international footballer Michel Bastos, according to media reports.
Bastos is contracted to Sao Paulo until the end of next year but has been allowed to negotiate with other clubs, the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper reported on Friday, reports Xinhua.
Palmeiras are said to be willing to pay Bastos a monthly salary of around $80,000.
In recent weeks, the 33-year-old has also been linked with a move to French club Lyon.
Capped 10 times for Brazil, Bastos joined Sao Paulo in 2014 after a short spell with Italian Serie A side Roma.
He spent the best years of his career in France, playing for Lille from 2006 to 2009 and Lyon from 2009 to 2013.
