Eight-time Brazilian Serie A champions Palmeiras are set to announce Oswaldo de Oliveira as their manager for the 2015 season.
The 64-year-old will replace Dorival Junior, who was sacked last week after the club narrowly escaped relegation to the Serie B, reports Xinhua.
Oliveira is said to have beat off competition for the position from former Brazil coach Mano Menezes and Internacional boss Abel Braga.
Palmeiras are expected to officially announce his signing on a one-year deal Monday.
Oliveira's coaching record includes spells at Corinthians, Sao Paulo, Flamengo and Japan's Kashima Antlers.
