Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) Formula E racing series CEO Alejandro Agag has said the city of Paris is likely to become part of next season's championship calendar.
With Mexico City being another prominent candidate, the Formula E season is expected to expand by at least two races in 2015-16 season, reports Monday.
"We want to define the calendar in the next couple of weeks and we will present this calendar to the FIA World Council in July," said Agag on Monday.
"It's very likely we will add two races and it's well known that we are waiting for Paris to include in the process."
"Paris is not for the moment done but conversations are ongoing and we are optimistic we hope that we can get a real race," he added.
As a new series promoted by FIA, FE world championship has ten stops in the ongoing first season as Beijing kicked off its inauguration in September 2014.
About the current venues on the calendar, Agag said: "We may tweak that a little bit, but in principle that is the plan."
FIA president Jean Todt mentioned that the series also looks into possibilities to race in Middle East and Africa.
"We still have the Middle East which is not covered, Africa is not yet covered, but it is something to happen soon."
