Actress Sonakshi Sinha says it was truly exciting to party with Hollywood icon Will Smith in Mumbai on Sunday night.
Sonakshi is busy with the promotional activities of her forthcoming film "Akira", but she took out time to attend the success bash hosted by Akshay Kumar here on Sunday. She is glad that she took out time for the party as the Oscar nominated and Grammy-winning star happened to be there too.
When IANS caught up with her in the capital on Monday, she said: "Oh... It was a nice experience. There was a dinner and Will came for it."
The American actor-singer-producer, best known for films like "Independence Day" and "Men In Black", also posed with the host Akshay for cameramen outside the venue.
The news of Smith dropping by at the Bollywood star's party spread like wildfire, but the question everyone is asking is 'Why is he in India'.
Try to inquire about Smith's visit with Sonakshi, and she says: "Why is he here? Well, I didn't ask... I am not a journalist."
In some of the photographs that have emerged online, Akshay and Smith seem to be at ease in each other's company, and look happy to pose for the cameras. Their jovial mood reflects in the images.
Akshay is seen dressed smartly in a black shirt teamed up with a white trouser, while the "Suicide Squad" star is seen wearing a striped t-shirt in hues of red, black and white.
Akshay hosted the party for his friends to enjoy the successful run of three of his films - "Airlift", "Housefull 3" and "Rustom", all of which have surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark.
His wife Twinkle Khanna was excited to host Smith.
"Guess who came over for dinner last night? Now I have to stop saying that I have no Willpower:) #freshprinceofbelair," Twinkle posted on Twitter on Monday with a photograph featuring her all smiles with Smith.
Other tinsel town stars like Varun Dhawan, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Rohit Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha were a part of the bash.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi will be seen in an action avatar on the silver screen soon in "Akira". Presented by Fox Star Studios, "Akira" is directed by A.R. Murugadoss, who had previously directed Sonakshi in the film "Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty".
The film will release on September 2.
