The Special Branch of the Delhi Police is conducting refresher training in passport verification for its 150 inquiry officers.
The first two-day training programme started Tuesday in which 25 officers are participating.
The session includes topics like communication skills, spoken literacy, personal effectiveness and basic etiquette, professional behaviour and grooming, ethical behaviour and operational procedures.
"The purpose of the training is to equip our staff with requisite skills that will impart professional approach for passport verification," said a police official.
"The passport inquiry officers will visit the applicant in proper prescribed safari uniform, displaying their identity cards to facilitate identification of name and rank," he added.
