Patliputra Sports Club (SC) on Thursday won the Patna edition of Red Bull Tashan, a competitive kabaddi tournament for players at college and club level, by beating Sarvodaya Kabaddi Club (KC) Atmalgola in the final.
The qualifiers for the Patna edition of the tournament was held on Thursday, which saw 24 teams taking part.
The final, played at AN College ground, witnessed a thrilling encounter as Patliputra Sports Club clinched the contest with a narrow 36-35 score line. The team has earned the opportunity to train with the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) team Patna Pirates during the upcoming seventh season of the league.
Organised in association with the Pirates, the tournament aims to widen the reach and develop the ancient Indian sport at a grass-root level in the country.
