Actor Pawan Kalyan, who will soon start shooting for Telugu actioner "Gabbar Singh 2", is likely to direct the film himself. He has decided to take on the task after alleged fallout with filmmaker Sampath Nandi.
Nandi was to direct "Gabbar Singh 2", which is yet to go on the floors.
"Sampath Nandi has decided to move on to his next project as he's spent considerable amount of time waiting for this project to roll. Therefore, Pawan sir is thinking of donning the director's hat on this project," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
Pawan's first tryst as director was with Telugu actioner "Johnny".
The film, which is an extension of Telugu blockbuster "Gabbar Singh", was officially launched last year.
Pawan will co-produce "Gabbar Singh 2" with his close friend Sharath Marar, while Devi Sri Prasad will compose the music.
