Portuguese defender Pepe returned to the group training of his national team on Saturday and may appear in Sunday's European football championship final against France.
The Real Madrid defender suffered muscle pain after the Euro quarter-finals against Poland and didn't participate in his national team's 2-0 victory over Wales in the semi-final, reports Efe.
The international player worked out on his own on Friday and took part in Saturday's group training.
Pepe is one of the pillars of the Portuguese team, as acknowledged by coach Fernando Santos, who has publicly described him as "a leader."
Portugal completed Saturday's training session seeking to win the first Euro title on Sunday.
