Pfizer's net profit up by 43.40 percent

Pharmaceuticals major Pfizer has earned a net profit of Rs.53.83 crore in the first quarter of 2015-16, which was 43.40 percent more than its net profit in the year ago period.

The drug maker had registered a net profit of Rs 37.53 crore in the quarter ending June 30 in 2014-15.

The company's net sales went up by 11.17 percent to Rs 479.20 crore in quarter 1 of 2015-16, as against the figure of 431.03 crore in the same period in 2014-15.
