UEFA president Michel Platini Tuesday said he would decide on running for FIFA presidency "during or after the World Cup in Brazil".
The FIFA election is in May 2015, and president Sepp Blatter could yet seek a fifth term in office, reports Xinhua.
Platini, who has been the president of European football's governing body since 2007, is seen as a leading candidate to succeed Blatter.
Platini made the remarks ahead of UEFA's four-day gathering of 54 member federations and its executive committee which will begin in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
