Russian figure skating star Evgeny Plushenko has been included in the 729-member squad for the February 2018 Winter Olympic Games in South Korea.
An Olympic medallist in in 2002, 2006, 2010 and in the team event at the 2014 Games, Plushenko skipped the final part of the Sochi event just minutes before his competition due to sudden back pain. He underwent surgery in March, reports Xinhua.
"I want to prove that to everyone that Plushenko is not a coward and that he did not betray his country," Plushenko said.
