Two more persons were arrested on Thursday for spreading rumours about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's health, police said here.
T. Maniselvam and S. Balasundaram were taken into custody separately. The police had arrested two persons earlier on the same charge.
Police said around 50 complaints have been received for spreading rumours about Jayalaltihaa's health and investigations were on.
Police have warned that strict action would be taken against anyone spreading "baseless rumours" about Jayalalithaa's health.
The 68-year-old AIADMK leader was admitted to the Apollo Hospital here on September 22 with fever and dehydration.
The doctors later said she needed a longer stay at the hospital as she was suffering from infection and put her on respiratory support.
