Jammu and Kashmir Police said on Saturday it has busted a gang of ATM thieves in Srinagar.
A police officer said that on February 6 this year a complaint was received at Karan Nagar Police Station in the city alleging that one ATM machine installed by the SBI had been stolen along with cash amounting over Rs 23 lakh during the intervening night of February 5 and 6.
"A police team set up to investigate the complaint busted the gang of ATM machine thieves from Srinagar. So far, four persons have been arrested and on their disclosure, two vehicles used by them for the theft have also been seized," the officer said.
