Four persons, including a police officer, were killed in a road accident in Jharkhand's Giridih district early on Monday, police said.
Mahesh Verma, a Sub Inspector, was returning from a marriage with his family members in a Bolero car when the accident took place at Jalakdiha village on the Bengabad-Madhupur Road, around 190 km from here.
The driver of the vehicle was said to have dozed off at the wheel. The car hit a tree.
Four persons, including the driver died on the spot. One injured has been admitted in a local hospital.
Verma was posted in Pakur district.
