Veteran actor Kamal Haasan on Thursday doused his fans' expectations of launching a political party, saying he can't make any such announcement under media pressure.
Kamal, 62, tweeted that public announcements will be made in the "people's court".
He said on November 7 -- his birthday -- meeting his fan club members has been a tradition for years.
His comment assumes significance amidst heightened speculation that he may launch his political party on his birthday as he had earlier said that an important announcement would be made on that date.
Kamal has been active of late with comments on the political situation, both at the national and state level, often being critical of the ruling parties.
