In the wake of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad's conviction in a fodder scam case, the BJP said Monday there was now a crisis of credibility about politicians in the country.
The RJD chief was Monday convicted by a Special CBI court in Ranchi in one of the five fodder scam cases in which he stands accused.
"We don't comment on a court judgment... we wholeheartedly accept it," Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh told media persons here, on the sidelines of an interaction at the Merchants Chamber of Commerce.
"There is a crisis of credibility now regarding politicians of the country, and I believe there is a need to ensure that politicians do not indulge in anything that could malign them," he said.
