FC Porto beat Rio Ave 3-0 at the Estadio do Dragao in Portugual's second largest city of Porto to secure third place in the Portuguese league and quailfy for the Champions League qualifying round.
Jackson Martinez put Porto ahead in the 61st minute Monday night, his 19th goal this season, reports Xinhua.
Mexican midfielder Hector Herrera made it 2-0 in the 72nd minute with a header, following a pass by Colombian forward Juan Quintero and Danilo scored in the 90th minute.
Rio Ave are in 11th place with 31 points and face Pacos de Ferreira in the 29th round.
Benfica beat Olhanense 2-0 to clinch the 33rd Portuguese league title Sunday.
