Portuguese club Sporting CP confirmed on Tuesday the signing of striker Abdoulay Diaby from Belgium's Club Brugge on a five-year deal with a 60 million euro ($69 million) buyout clause.
The French-born Mali international, 27, had 36 goals and 20 assists in 108 matches with Brugge since joining the club in 2015, reports Efe news.
"The player signed a valid contract for the next five seasons, with a termination clause set at 60 million euros," Sporting CP said in a statement.
Diaby, the Portuguese club's eighth signing this summer, played 10 games with the Malian national team, netting four goals.
