Poulose sets new 110m hurdles national record

India's youth athletes Maymon Poulose and Mithravarun qualified for the Final-A stage in the 110 metres hurdles and discus throw, respectively, in the athletics events of the Youth Olympics at the Nanjing Olympics Sports Centre here Thursday.

Poulose clocked 13.64 seconds in the hurdles race which is also a new national record (youth) and personal best while Mithravarun threw a personal best of 54.71 metres in discus throw. Both advanced to the second stage of the competition.
