An unidentified pregnant woman was found murdered in a room near Manesar here, police said Tuesday.
The decomposed body of the woman, in her early 30s, was found Sunday in a Naharpur village room after people living near it complained of a rotten smell. The room was locked from outside.
Police officer Preetpal told IANS: "A person March 2 contacted Tarachand of village Naharpur for taking a room on rent. He (tenant) fixed the rent and told Tarachand he would shift within a week, whereupon he would produce his ID proof."
The officer said: "The tenant allegedly murdered the woman in the room as he had the lock and key."
"The woman was carrying a five-month-old fetus," said Deepak Mathur who conducted the postmortem examination.
