While "The Hunger Games" book ends with "Mockingjay" series, film studio Lionsgate is eyeing possible prequels and more sequels in the popular film franchise to expand it beyond the upcoming fourth film.
The chief executive officer of the studio, Jon Feltheimer said he's "actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities" for the "Hunger Games" franchise, reports aceshowbiz.com.
The fourth film "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2", is slated to release Nov 21 in the US.
The original stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, are back as Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark and Gale Hawthorne respectively.
