Purvi Mundada has replaced Chandni Bhagwanani in "Dream Girl - Ek Ladki Deewani Si". The actress hopes to come out of her simpleton image with a glamourous avatar on the TV show.
Chandni was originally roped in as a new entry in the Life OK show for the role of Karan Roy's girlfriend, but now Purvi will be playing the role.
"I'm playing a very positive and a glamourous young character of Richa. She is today's girl who is strong and very optimistic in life. It is completely different from what I have done in the past," Purvi said in a statement.
She will be playing the role of Richa, who is a location manager. She meets Karan Roy (Kunal Verma), who is Ayesha Sareen's (Shraddha Arya) brother, at her workplace and they eventually fall in love as they start working together.
The actress, who has also featured in TV series like "Nisha Aur Uske Cousins", added that as she has "done Indian and simple roles in the past", and that she now wants to come out of the zone.
"This character will change my image as my look is very hot and beautiful where I am wearing really stylish clothes. So it is lot of fun and I am excited," she said.
"Dream Girl - Ek Ladki Deewani Si" narrates a girl's journey to stardom and how she overcomes all the obstacles in between.
