Premier League club Queens Park Rangers (QPR) say they will indefinitely ban fans who threw missiles during their 0-1 defeat at home to Chelsea here.
Plastic bottles and coins were reportedly thrown towards the pitch after Chelsea mid-fielder Cesc Fabregas's 88th-minute strike which proved to be the winner on Sunday.
"This is not the kind of behaviour the club condones in any way, shape or form," a QPR spokesperson was quoted as saying by BBC on Monday.
CCTV footage of the incident is being reviewed by the club, which says they will liaise with police.
"We take a zero tolerance approach to this sort of behaviour and if the perpetrators are identified, they will be banned indefinitely from the stadium and, where appropriate, we will liaise with the Metropolitan Police," added the spokesperson.
