Filmmaker Rajkumar Hindusthani, who is gearing up for the release of "Darling Don't Cheat", says the quality of films nowadays has deteriorated in terms of offering sensual content.
"The quality of films nowadays has deteriorated so drastically in terms of offering sensual content. The makers are just scared about the censors and are restricted by the probable cuts or beeps that their film could get. Even the so-called sex comedies were not sufficient in terms of the needs of viewers," Hindusthani told IANS.
"Darling Don't Cheat" was embroiled in controversy for its bold scenes.
The film was recently in the news due to protests in certain parts of the country, demanding a ban on the film. The protestors were offended by the sensational trailer of the film which consisted of cuss words, stripping scenes, nude scenes and even physical violence.
"Most people who watch the trailer of these films excitedly go for it, but come out disappointed from the theatres saying, 'there was nothing much in the film'. This complaint would be impossible with our film since we'll justify the humongous expectations our trailer has generated in the minds of the viewers," Hindusthani said.
"Our sole objective with this film is to offer high-quality erotic content, while also ensuring that it is not cheap," he added.
"Darling Don't Cheat", starring Ram Gaurav Pandey, Ashish Tyagi and Neha Chaterji, is produced under the banner of Fyeo Media Works and is slated for release on March 11.
