Congress President Rahul Gandhi, here on Thursday, said he would not meet a six-year-old rape victim, in a village near here, as it was "not part of his programme".
Gandhi was at Thanagaazi in Alwar to meet the victim of last month's gangrape. After meeting the victim, he spoke about providing justice to her. He also called a press conference away from the victim's residence.
On being asked if he would also be visiting the six-year-old rape victim in a nearby village, Gandhi said, "It doesn't come under my programme. I would have gone, but, unfortunately, have a meeting in Bihar and I can't delay that."
Earlier, Gandhi had said it was not a political but an emotional issue for him.
Alwar hit the headlines last week with three rape cases were reported within 72 hours.
