External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid Friday said Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi can be the "messiah" of change for the country.
"The sense of the house is that people want to see a massive change in the party and they believe that Rahul Gandhi can be the messiah of that change, not for the party but for the country," Khurshid told mediapersons.
The Congress party announced Thursday that Gandhi will be leading the Congress poll campaign for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
Echoing the same feeling, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said: "We have named the commander of the army to lead us to the battle. The fact is the commander has been named and there is no discussion on that."
