Rain halted the proceedings of the Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium here on Wednesday.
Put into bat, Sunrisers posted a formidable 176/4 in their 20 overs courtesy knocks from skipper David Warner (91) and his opening partner Shikhar Dhawan (54). They put on a 130-run partnership for the first wicket.
For KKR, the pick of the bowlers was South African pacer Morne Morkel who claimed 2/31 off his four overs.
Rain then halted play after the conclusion of the first innings.
