Heavy rains lashed the national capital Saturday, choking the city with traffic jams due to flooded streets and entering houses.
Rain started at 11 a.m., impacting traffic on Ring Road, Moti Bagh and Defence Colony in south Delhi, certain parts of Dwarka and the roads connecting to the satellite towns of Delhi.
"We are getting many complaints of traffic jams due to water logging," said a Delhi Traffic Police official.
There were also reports of water logging in the arrival lane at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
"Water has entered my house and the drawing room is almost flooded," said Ranjana Narayan, resident of Sarojini Nagar in south Delhi.
In Moti nagar in west Delhi, water entered the balcony of a cinema hall.
