Union Minister for Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday hit out at Congress-ruled Rajasthan government for its failure to implement unemployment allowance and loan waiver promises.
Javadekar said the ruling party was yet to pass on the benefit of recently announced 10 per cent quota for the economically poor to the people of the state.
Speaking to media at a press conference, he said Congress President Rahul Gandhi had announced loan waiver within 10 days of the party coming to power in the state.
"In the last 34 days, what the farmers have been seen is formation of a committee set up to look into the waiver scheme. The party had earlier said that it would waive full loans. Today, the government is looking for options. This is a complete failure of the government," he said.
The Union Minister said there is no reference to unemployment allowance in these 34 days of the government. "They promised to give Rs 3,500 as an alloance, but it is not yet clear as to when and how they will facilitate it. It all looks like 'jumlas' made during elections," he said.
He also accused Congress of playing into foreign hands. "On Monday, questions were raised in London on electronic voting machines in the presence of senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal. In the coming days, the party will raise many such issues," he added.
He said in the coming Lok Sabha polls, the nation will vote on three issues -- development versus corruption, a strong government versus weak government (majboot ya majbor sarkar) and Modi versus who.
"People have seen shortlived governments where no strong decisions were taken. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many historic decisions have been taken, which made a mark on the world map," he said.
"Also, there is no clarity as to who will be the leader of Opposition against Modi. It simply means Modi versus anarchy," he added.
