Home Minister Rajnath Singh Monday expressed concern over the safety of women in Delhi and asked the city police to ensure foolproof security for them.
Addressing a function organised to mark the 68th raising day of Delhi Police, the minister said the issues of women's safety should be of prime importance for police.
"All women should be provided safety in the city," he said.
Talking about 'Himmat', a mobile phone-based application for safety of women in Delhi which he had launched Jan 1, he said it was a step in the right direction and Delhi Police should come out with more technological solutions for modern day problems and issues.
