The central government on Wednesday assured Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti of looking into resuming cross-LoC trade disrupted due to shelling on the border.
Mehbooba Mufti took up the issue of Trade Facilitation Centre (TFC) at Chakan da Bagh with the minister following shelling three days ago, an official statement said.
"The Home Minister assured her of looking into the matter and directing agencies concerned accordingly."
The Chief Minister said the livelihood of a large number of traders was dependent on business activities at the TFC.
The cross-border trade and bus service across LoC were stopped due to Pakistani shelling in Poonch district.
