The UPSC exam row again echoed in the Rajya Sabha Monday as opposition members pressed the government to find a solution.

The question house was disrupted over a derogatory article about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the web site of Sri Lanka's defence ministry.

However, the matter subsided after External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj assured that the Sri Lankan high commissioner will be summoned.

Following this, opposition members once again raised the issue of discrimination with students on the basis of language in the UPSC exam.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Prakash Javadekar assured the house that government will come out with a solution soon.

"A solution to the problem will be found sooner than expected," Javadekar said.

Dissatisfied opposition members from Congress, Janata Dal-United, Samajwadi Party and others trooped near the chairman's podium.

Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien then adjourned the house till 2 p.m.

The aspirants have been demanding that the CSAT be scrapped as they term it discriminatory.

The CSAT-II paper in the UPSC prelim exam carries questions on comprehension, interpersonal skills, including communication skills, logical reasoning and analytical ability, decision-making and problem-solving, general mental ability, basic numeracy, and English language comprehension skills (of Class 10 level).
