Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitic said on Friday that it is time to do "something great" with his national football team, which starts its Euro 2016 campaign in France against Turkey on Sunday.
The Barcelona player wanted Croatia to overcome their best achievement, which was getting third position in the FIFA World Cup in France 1998, reports Efe.
"We worked several years together... I agree with what (Luka) Modric said the other day. It's time to do something big with Croatia, although we know it will be a European Championship where there is a lot of quality," he said at a press conference.
However, he added, his team believes in itself and knows it can do something great.
