The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is yet to get approval of the Morabadi ground in Ranchi for its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's rally scheduled Dec 29.
"We are still waiting for the district administration's approval for the Morabadi ground. We formally requested the district administration for the ground for Modi's rally scheduled Dec 29. The district administration informed us that the ground was booked from December 17 to January 3 for khadi mela (hand-woven clothes fair)," Jharkhand BJP spokesperson Pradeep Sinha told IANS.
"The Morabadi ground is used for political activities, including rallies. The district administration is denying us the ground on the instruction of the state government. We hope good sense will prevail and the ground will be made available for the rally," said Sinha.
