Raveena Tandon is turning more animal-friendly. After adopting two stray puppies and rescuing a monkey, she is now trying to cut down her intake of non-vegetarian food.
"Seriously trying to be more vegetarian..have given up slowly, except fish right now...no prawn, mutton, lobster, crab. Suddenly going off chicken too," Raveena posted on her Twitter page.
"Ten years ago saw a little lamb being slaughtered... Cried my eyes out, and that was the last time (I) ate mutton. That thing has a life consciousness... Then saw how crabs and lobsters are cooked, put alive in boiling water. Inhuman...now slowly trying to give up fish too," she added.

Saif loves home cooked food
Bollywood actor-producer Saif Ali Khan loves binging on home cooked food.
The 43-year-old who has been busy promoting his latest release, director Tigmanshu Dhulia's film "Bullet Raja", was shooting an episode of UTV Stars' show "Breakfast to Dinner" when he shared some fitness tips.
But then Dhulia spilled some beans about the actor's eating habits.
"Saif loves dal chawal (lentils and rice) and bhindi ki sabzi (lady finger). On the sets, I used to see him eat bhindi everyday. I shared it with him once or maybe twice, but I cannot eat bhindi everyday," Dhulia said during the show.
The actor, who has films like "Kal Ho Naa Ho", "Hum Tum", "Parineeta", "Omkara" and "Aarakshan" to his credit, plays gangster Raja Mishra in crime thriller "Bullet Raja".
The film also stars Jimmy Shergill and Sonakshi Sinha.
During the show Saif also spoke about life after marriage with actress Kareena Kapoor and being a part of a royal family. He also revealed his love for shoes and confessed that he is hooked on to online shopping. The episode featuring Saif will be aired Sunday.
