Real Madrid announced on Wednesday that the club has reached agreement with Porto to sign the Portuguese club's defender Danilo for a price of $35 million.
Both clubs issued a statement on their respective websites to confirm that the Brazilian international has agreed to a six-year deal with the Spanish side and will incorporate into the club's discipline this summer, reports Xinhua.
The 23-year-old has been a target for Real and several other major European clubs for the past few months and will provide stiff competition for Spain international Dani Carvajal who is currently first choice rightback at the club.
Meanwhile his arrival almost certainly means that Alvaro Arbeloa will leave Real Madrid at the end of the current campaign.
