Brazilian midfielder Lucas Silva will join Olympique Marseille for the season on loan from Real Madrid, but without a purchase option for the French football club.
Marseille on Thursday announced that the deal with Real will keep Silva with the French side until June 2016, reports Efe.
Negotiations lasted several days before finalising the contract that will render the 22-year-old Brazilian available to Marseille's new coach Jose Miguel Gonzalez, a former Real player.
Silva arrived on Thursday morning in Marseilles to follow the team training session, before undergoing his medical.
Marseille emphasised that despite his young age, he has already accrued an impressive record, including two championships with Brazilian side Cruzeiro.
