BJP leader and former MLA Ramesh Saxena has asked farmers in Madhya Pradesh to recite the Hanuman Chalisa for five consecutive days to prevent crop loss caused by rains and hailstorm.
"Lord Hanuman is the only force which can shield against winds, rains and hails. By reciting Hanuman Chalisa for an hour daily for five days, farmers will be able guard against calamities," the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said in a statement.
Several parts of Madhya Pradesh were hit by storm, hails and rain on Sunday following which many crops were damaged.
