Reward announced for information on girl's killers

Police in Coimbatore on Thursday announced a reward for persons who provide information about the killer(s) of a seven-year-old girl.

The police said the identify of the informants will be kept confidential.

Police said five persons had been taken into custody. Post mortem of the girl's body done on Wednesday revealed she was raped.

Her body was found on Tuesday in a narrow lane near her home with her hands and legs tied.
