Joshna Chinappa won her ninth WSA World Tour title of her squash career defeating seeded Rachael Grinham from Australia 11-9, 11-7, 11-9 in the final of the Richmond Open in the US.
Joshna's simple game plan of keeping the ball straight and into the corners paid dividend, confirming her maiden victory against the former World No.1.
In the semi-finals, Joshna took out third seeded Latasha Khan (ISA) 11-7, 11-8, 11-5, after scalping Catalina Palaez (Colombia) 11-7, 11-8, 11-5 and Fernanda Rocha (Argentina) 11-2, 11-8, 11-6, in the previous rounds.
Earlier this year in February, Joshna had also won the Winnipeg Winter Club Women's Open, a WSA Tour 15 event.
