The roof of the malaria department office here collapsed Thursday. No one was injured in the incident, an official said.
The building which houses the office has been in bad shape for years, but the situation became worse after heavy rain a few days back.
"Maximum staff was in the field for work. There were seven members in the office who were also out of the building for lunch," an employee said.
"We had already written to higher authorities regarding the health of the building last year. No one was hurt in Thursday's incident as no one was in the building," Saryu Sharma, deputy civil surgeon of Gurgaon, told IANS.
